Background
A customer needs to copy information from emails to add to the Metadata entry dialogue. When trying to navigate to the email, the Metadata entry window maintains focus not allowing that operation.
Steps to Reproduce
Install Outlook amps and Outlook client per instructions.
Open Admin tools and navigate to the Outlook integration/Metadata Settings
Edit the metadata settings, enable Custom content metadata and load the default configuration
Restart Outlook.
Create the folder "Email" in the Outlook sidebar.
Drag email to folder. Metadata dialogue is displayed.
Try to open an email in Outlook.
Expected Result
Navigation to open an email or to copy an open email should be possible.
Actual Result
No navigation to any Outlook element is possible.
This functionality existed in Outlook Client 2.4.1
Outlook Office 365 (16) Windows 10 (64 bit)
The metadata dialog seems to be modal even if you double click the email to open it in a new window prior to DnDing it to Alfresco sidebar.
While that may be the case, it maintains ALL Outlook focus. You can switch to other apps, but within Outlook, no further operation is possible once the Metadata Window is open. I am even unable to move the now open Outlook window. This operation is not expected by the customer. I’ve tested in 2.4.1 and the operation is successful.
